ATX: Adventures in Austin (Soul Sister Edition)

Lindsay, my second shooter/best friend/soul sister came and visited me in Austin in November. I made sure to feed her good food (Franklin Barbecue is the best around, no joke) and take her to see just a fraction of what Austin has to offer. Lindsay & I had been planning to get photography themed tattoos for about a year - we finally made it happen thanks to Mike at True Blue Tattoo on Airport Blvd. He's an amazing artist and, as we found out, a member of a rockabilly/ska band! We went to go see his show at the Driskill downtown.

Matt & Chelsea - Sweet Engagement Session at Hotel Ella

Chelsea surprised Matt with engagement photos at Hotel Ella for his birthday - how much sweeter can you get?! They also brought their two adorable dogs, all dressed up in fancy wedding attire. Ismael & Kate - Engagement Session with Hiking and Dinosaurs

Ismael & Kate are so in sync. I met them in person the same day I shot their engagement session and I couldn't help but notice how much they suit each other. It's so easy to see how in love they are - I can't wait to shoot their wedding later this year! We did their session at Zilker Botanical Garden to showcase their love of the outdoors and hiking. Click to enlarge.

ATX: Blanton Museum of Art

The Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas in Austin is a true treasure. I love art museums, and the Blanton is a small, but well curated, gem. Pro tip: Thursdays are free! Click to enlarge.
